Spring 2014, I made a Hyperdrive Keyblade from the game Kingdom Hearts. The base of the keyblade consisted of foam board sandwiched between two layers of sytrene that was notched and bondoed onto a heat-twisted PVC pipe. I then used insulation foam to create the dimensions for the space ship, and layers of L200 for the handle piece. I hand-sanded and drumelled all the needed curves. Finally, I spray primed and then hand-painted the keyblade with acylics. My painter friend, Joanna, added all the shading beautiful shading and highlights. The keyblade was 4′ 3″ long and weighed 2.7 pounds.  We accomplished this in 5 days.
