GIANT FOLDING FAN

Spring 2017, I made Temari's giant folding from the anime, Naruto. I utilized an old handmade fan as the base;  I removed the existing paper and spray painted the wood. I used duck canvas as the new fabric by folding and ironing each pleat to match the fan ribs. Then used an iron on fabric adhesive to fix the three purple circles to the fabric. Finally, I used industrial double sided tape to mount the fabric to the wood fan base. The folding fan was 5′ 7″ long and weighed 2.5 pounds.
